Twin Zygosity testing identifies the genetic relationship between twins, determining whether they are identical or fraternal. Twin DNA tests compare the genetic markers of each twin to determine whether or not their genetic profiles match, and can be utilized by twins of all ages. - Identical twins share 100% of their genes and are always the same sex. - Fraternal twins form when two eggs are fertilized by two separate sperm. - Fraternal twins share, on average, 50% of their genes and may be the same sex or opposite sex.
